Home Mechanic and Professional Shop Licenses are managed through your device's app store. On iOS, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android, go to Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of your current period. Diagnostic Credits are one-time purchases — there is nothing to cancel, and they never expire.
No. A Diagnostic Credit never expires. Buy 3 Diagnostic Credits and bank them for when you need them.
Sign in with the same V-Twin account on iOS, Android, and the web to access your motorcycle profiles, saved diagnostics, and entitlements. If a mobile purchase is missing, use Restore Purchase with the store account that bought it, or contact support. Service history and personal notes entered only on a device do not sync to another device.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your registered email address. We'll send you a password reset link. If you signed up using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, use that provider's recovery flow instead — you won't have a separate password to reset.
No. The app is a reference and diagnostic aid designed to help you identify common issues. For critical repairs, safety-related work, or detailed procedures, always consult your motorcycle's factory service manual and/or a qualified technician.
Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases. Google Play customers can request a refund through Google or contact us for assistance, including developer-issued refunds where available. Visit Apple's refund page or Google Play's refund page for instructions. Store refund processes do not replace mandatory consumer rights; contact us if you need help with a faulty or misdescribed purchase.
We appreciate your feedback. Please email us at support@vtwindiagnostics.com with the specific diagnostic path, step, or specification in question, and we'll investigate. Include the model year, model, app version and relevant screen. Verify safety-critical information against the manufacturer's service manual before continuing work.
Saved inspections and shop documents are associated with your account on our servers. Local service history and personal motorcycle-profile notes are separate and do not sync. Intake and estimate assignment is permanent; recording customer approval locks the saved form. The approval control records that a paper copy was signed and does not capture or verify an electronic signature.
Open Account → Account Settings → Delete Account, or follow our account-deletion instructions. Closing the account does not cancel store subscriptions or immediately erase retained records. For access, correction or deletion of personal information, email support. Do not send passwords or card details.
No. Assigning a credit activates the included benefits for its motorcycle profile or eligible spot. You can use the profile for specifications, applicable torque references, service records and oil-change tracking even when the bike is running well. A diagnostic is one part of the entitlement. Home Mechanic Tools and Professional Shop Tools require their respective licenses.
In the ordinary credit-based profile flow, assignment activates the profile benefits and leaves the included diagnostic allowance available. That allowance is used when a diagnostic reaches a probable cause. A license holder converting a credit into an extra spot uses the credit for that spot; diagnostics during the active license are covered by the license.
No. Assignment already makes the entitlement's other paid benefits available. Refund review can consider that activation as well as diagnostic or other relevant usage. Assignment does not automatically remove any refund or consumer right you have under store rules or applicable law.
Choose one-time Diagnostic Credits, a Home Mechanic License, or a Professional Shop License. Open the app on web, iOS or Android to view purchase options. Prices below are USD; local store prices may vary. Sign in with the same account across platforms.
Both licenses renew annually unless canceled. Home Mechanic checks and inspections include the Pre-Ride Checklist, Battery & Charging Test, General Health Check, and Pre-Purchase Inspection. References and tool access depend on the motorcycle and entitlement.
What a Diagnostic Credit includes: A Diagnostic Credit is a bundled entitlement. It can be assigned to an existing motorcycle profile or used to open an eligible additional profile and its parking spot. Assignment activates the paid profile benefits associated with that entitlement, such as the profile's specifications and applicable torque references, service records and Oil Change Tracker, together with its included diagnostic allowance. Some reference and tracking functions are also available on the free starting profile; purchasing a credit does not make every tool in the app available. Home Mechanic Tools and Professional Shop Tools remain subject to their respective license requirements.
When the entitlement is used: Assignment to a motorcycle profile or use to open an eligible parking spot activates and consumes the credit's entitlement benefit. This happens when those benefits are made available, whether or not you later run a diagnostic. Assignment is permanent and non-transferable. An activated purchase is not wholly unused merely because no diagnostic has been completed.
The diagnostic allowance is separate: In the ordinary credit-based profile flow, the included diagnostic allowance remains available after assignment until used to reach a probable cause and generate the report. Stopping before that result does not use that diagnostic allowance and does not reverse assignment or activation of the other benefits. Using the included diagnostic allowance does not, by itself, remove the profile's other continuing benefits.
Parking spots and license holders: A spot holds one motorcycle profile, including an archived profile; archiving does not free the spot. An eligible license holder may apply an available credit to open an additional spot beyond the included and separately purchased spots. In that conversion, the credit is used for the additional spot rather than reserved as a separate diagnostic allowance; diagnostics during the active license are provided by the license. Separately purchased additional spots do not include Diagnostic Credits.
Free account: An account is required to use the app. It includes a starting motorcycle profile, its specifications and Oil Change Tracker, plus DTC lookup and service intervals. Torque references and other paid tools depend on your entitlement.
