Introduction

V-Twin Diagnostics is operated by Classified AI LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, United States. This notice covers our website, iOS and Android apps, and web app, including diagnostics, component cards and operational circuit details, garage profiles, maintenance tracking, inspections, estimates, and intake forms. Contact support@vtwindiagnostics.com about personal information handled by these services.

When a mechanic or shop enters information about a customer, that business is responsible for its own collection and use of the customer's information. Contact the shop about its records, or contact us for help identifying and handling information held in our service.

Information We Collect

An account is required to use the App, including its free reference tools and Oil Change Tracker. When you create an account we collect:

• Name — Used to personalize your experience within the App.
• Email address — Used for account login, password recovery, important account notifications, and service reminders, which are on by default for each motorcycle you add. You can turn them off, and choose whether they go to your account email, to the owner email you enter for that motorcycle, or to both.
• Phone number — Used as an alternative method for account recovery and verification.

If you choose to sign in using a third-party identity provider (Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google), the App receives the basic profile information (name and email) that the provider releases to it. No additional information is collected through these sign-in flows.

The App also stores the following data on our servers, associated with your account so it stays in sync across your devices and the web version:

• Motorcycle (garage) profiles — Year, model, engine type, mileage, and nickname for your saved bikes (the number of parking spots depends on your purchases and entitlement).
• Diagnostic results — Records of completed diagnostic sessions including steps taken, outcomes, and notes you add to a diagnostic result.
• Saved inspections and shop documents — Checklist answers, findings and notes; shop and customer names, addresses and contact details; motorcycle details such as VIN, registration and mileage; intake condition observations, requested work, authorization limits, estimate line items, labor, parts, tax and totals; and the time a shop records that a customer signed a paper document. We store the fields you choose to enter. The current intake and estimate tools do not capture an electronic signature.
• Service schedules — Maintenance intervals and your Oil Change Tracker settings (such as current mileage and chosen intervals), including the odometer readings you confirm.
• Purchase and entitlement status — Your credit balance, purchase delivery, assignment of a credit to a motorcycle or parking spot, activation of its included benefits, remaining diagnostic allowance, additional spot grants, and Home Mechanic or Professional Shop License status. These records distinguish activation of profile benefits from completion of a diagnostic. Purchase identifiers, receipt/transaction information and entitlement changes are processed with RevenueCat and the app stores. Payment itself is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never receive or store your payment card details.

The following locally entered information is separate from saved server-side diagnostics, inspections and shop documents:

• Service records — The service history you log for a motorcycle is stored on the device where you enter it. It is not uploaded, not backed up by us, and does not move to another device.
• Notes — Any personal notes you attach to a motorcycle profile are stored the same way, on the device only.

When you use the App, we and our analytics and advertising partners also automatically collect certain technical and usage information:

• Usage & product-interaction data — Screens you view, actions you take in the App (such as starting a diagnostic or saving a bike), and event properties associated with those actions, used to understand how the App is used and improve it.
• Device & diagnostic data — Device type, operating-system version, app version, and crash/performance information.
• Advertising identifier — On iOS, only if you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device's advertising identifier may be used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. If you decline, it is not used for tracking, and you can change this at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain diagnostics, references, motorcycle profiles, inspections, shop documents and maintenance tools.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Enable password and account recovery.
• Personalize your in-app experience, make the features associated with each motorcycle entitlement available, and distinguish profile activation from use of a diagnostic allowance.
• Send you the service reminder emails that are on by default for each motorcycle you add, through the Oil Change Tracker and, with a Professional Shop License, the Smart Service Scheduler, to the account email and, if you choose, the owner email you enter for that motorcycle. You can turn them off for any motorcycle at any time in the App.
• Verify your purchases with Apple or Google — Diagnostic Credits, additional parking spots, and Home Mechanic or Professional Shop Licenses.
• Handle purchase verification, disputes and refund requests with the store. This may involve purchase delivery, credit assignment, profile or spot activation, the features made available, and relevant diagnostic or other recorded usage. An assigned entitlement may have provided paid benefits even where no diagnostic was completed; the records should be read in that context. Where consent is required, sharing must be based on your consent; requesting a refund does not itself waive your privacy or consumer rights. • Understand how the App is used and improve its features and reliability through product analytics.
• Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing (on iOS, subject to your App Tracking Transparency choice).

Data Storage and Security

Account information, garage profiles, diagnostic reports, service schedules, inspections and saved shop documents are held in cloud systems used to operate the service. Connections to the app's authentication and server services use encryption in transit. We use access controls and authentication, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

Locally entered service history and motorcycle-profile notes do not sync between devices. Notes included in a saved diagnostic, inspection, estimate or intake form are part of that server-side record. Exported or printed reports may contain customer or motorcycle information. You control whom you send them to; we cannot erase copies held by recipients or independently stored backups.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose information to the service providers listed below for operating, supporting, measuring and promoting the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Meta App Events can receive app-event properties and device information on native mobile apps. Advertising-related disclosures may count as a sale or sharing under some state privacy laws even when no money changes hands. On iOS, the operating system's App Tracking Transparency setting controls permission for tracking. That setting is not a general switch for all product analytics or operational event collection.

Contact support@vtwindiagnostics.com to exercise applicable privacy rights, including objections to marketing or requests to opt out of sale or sharing. Device and platform advertising settings also provide controls; their effect depends on your device and platform.

Biometric Data

The App offers optional biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint) for convenient login. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system and is never accessed, stored, or transmitted by the App. We only receive a success or failure result from the device's biometric system.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of trusted third-party service providers to operate, analyze, and promote the App. Their roles include:

• Authentication — Google Firebase Authentication powers account sign-in, including Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google.
• Cloud hosting & database — Cloud hosting and database services store account information, garage profiles, diagnostic results, schedules, inspections and saved shop documents.
• Product analytics — PostHog collects in-app usage and event data so we can understand how the App is used and improve it. Session recording is disabled.
• Crash and performance monitoring — Sentry collects crash reports, error details, and performance data so we can find and fix defects. This data is not used to track you and is not linked to advertising.
• Advertising & attribution — Meta (Facebook) App Events help us measure advertising performance and attribution. On iOS this is governed by your App Tracking Transparency choice.
• Email — A transactional email service (Resend) delivers the service reminder emails.
• Purchase management — RevenueCat processes app-user identifiers, store transaction and purchase information to validate purchases and synchronize access.
• Payments — Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) process all purchases; we never receive or store your payment card details.

These providers have their own privacy notices and contractual terms. App stores and identity providers also process information for their own account, security and legal purposes. If our use of third-party services changes, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access and obtain a copy of your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority and, where applicable, appeal a decision on your request.

Use Account Settings for available profile changes and account deletion, or email support@vtwindiagnostics.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority to act for another person. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. A diagnostic PDF is a report, not a complete export of all personal data. Statutory requests can cover information beyond that report.

For customers whose information was entered by a shop, identify the shop and the relevant document or motorcycle without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

International Users

Classified AI LLC is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries outside your place of residence, where data-protection laws may differ. Contact us for information about the recipients, processing locations and safeguards applicable to your information. International availability does not remove your local privacy rights.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, providing an account and purchased features to its holder involves processing necessary to perform our contract with that holder. Customer information entered by a shop is processed to provide the requested recordkeeping service and subject to the lawful basis applicable to that relationship; legal obligations can require certain records; and security, troubleshooting and legal-claim handling may involve legitimate interests, subject to your rights. Processing that requires consent must have that consent. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing.

Data Retention

While an account is active, we keep account information and server-side records needed to provide its features, including garage profiles, diagnostics, schedules, inspections and saved shop documents. We distinguish those records from locally entered service history and motorcycle-profile notes, which are held in device or browser storage. Clearing storage or removing the app can erase local records; copies in exports, other devices or independent backups may remain.

After account closure, we apply a three-year retention period for account identifiers, motorcycle profiles, diagnostic records and associated server records for safety, liability and recordkeeping purposes, followed by deletion. Closing the account is not immediate erasure of those retained records. This period does not override a valid right to earlier erasure or a specific legal obligation to retain information.

Archiving a motorcycle is a display change and does not delete the profile or free its spot. Records attached to a motorcycle are not generally deletable through the normal editing controls. These interface restrictions do not remove your legal privacy rights: contact us to request deletion, correction or restriction of a particular record. Changes to This Policy

Updates appear on this page with a revised date. Material changes may require additional notice or consent under applicable law. Merely continuing to use the service does not provide consent for processing that legally requires a separate choice.
